The MedCall Advisors Physician application serves as a vital tool for streamlining workflow and enabling real-time tele-triage for patients with injuries or illnesses. This application plays a key role in monitoring the availability of physicians within a nationwide network focused on tele-triage services.

All participating physicians are certified in Emergency Medicine and are integral members of the MedCall physician network. To utilize the application effectively, each physician must download it onto their smart device and log in to indicate their availability status, which is directly linked to the MedCall Call Center patient portal.

Calls initiated through telehealth are handled by Call Coordinators (CC), who expertly manage the flow of the conversation. They first determine the patient's state of origin and subsequently verify the availability of a physician licensed in that state. Once a suitable physician is located, the CC sends a notification via the Physician application to alert them of the waiting patient. After gathering essential patient intake information, the CC facilitates a connection between the patient and the physician in a virtual consultation room. Additionally, physicians can request that patients upload photographs through the patient portal, with an option for initiating video consultations. Notably, any photos transferred will automatically self-delete after being sent.
